2022 marks an exciting and well-deserved milestone for the Max Borges Agency (MBA). MBA has been a public relations powerhouse in the consumer tech and innovation industry over the last two decades, helping cutting-edge brands launch new products worldwide.

Backed by proven media relations strategies, impactful data storytelling and a robust network of media contacts, journalists and influencers, the MBA team has excelled over the years at getting its client’s products in front of the right people at the right time to gain the best coverage possible to drive brand awareness and increase product exposure.

The Beginning: Entrepreneurship at Its Finest

It all started with one consulting gig after a string of bad luck. In 2002, Max Borges was unemployed, low on cash and trying to figure out what he was going to do next. 

The son of a hardworking Cuban immigrant, Borges grew up watching his father prove that you can accomplish anything you want in life if you put in the work. You just have to get up and do it. So, when one company offered him part-time marketing consulting work, he ran with it. He continued signing new clients; then hired employees. Now, 20 years later, he runs one of the country’s top consumer tech and lifestyle PR firms.

“When talking about business success, people often say ‘where there’s a will, there’s a way,'” explained Borges. “But the ‘way’ is more than just about the path forward. The people who join you along the way make the biggest difference. If it weren’t for the passion and dedication of our team, we would not be the incredible company we are today.” 

Our People Make the MBA Brand

One of the biggest differentiators we have is our people. We pride ourselves on the expertise and professionalism each team member brings to the table. But what really sets our team apart from other PR agencies is each person’s character, drive and entrepreneurial spirit. Our team is unlike any other, and we plan to keep it that way as we continue to hire in the future.

Even though we are based in Miami, Florida, we have grown to more than 50 employees across the US and proudly offer work-from-anywhere-flexibility and employee perks designed to promote good mental health and a balanced lifestyle. To keep our team close, we bring everyone together several times throughout the year, with our most recent gathering this past April to celebrate our 20th anniversary.

Starting with the Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run in downtown Miami, the celebration spanned three days and included numerous selfies, intense foosball games, a beach trip, and lots of laughs. (Don’t worry, we got some work done in there too!) Lastly, we topped it off with a high-energy party at the Mezcalista.
